Randima Fernando

Co-Founder

Randima helps leading tech companies, NGOs, government leaders, policymakers, and others understand and act on the intersections between technology, ethics, mindfulness, and social good. He emphasizes how mindsets, conditioning, and incentives drive outcomes in complex systems.

Randima is a Co-Founder and former Executive Director of Center for Humane Technology (CHT), which has helped shape global understanding of extractive technology and humane alternatives. CHT's work was central to The Social Dilemma, an Emmy-winning documentary seen by over 100 million people in 190 countries. He is also a subject in the documentary The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist.

He started his career at NVIDIA, managing award-winning projects and authoring three #1-ranked books on 3D graphics over seven years, including the first book on the first hardware shading language for the first programmable GPU. He was also a founding Board Member of the NVIDIA Foundation.

Randima then served for seven years as founding Executive Director at Mindful Schools, a nonprofit that taught mindfulness to millions of kids and over 70,000 educators worldwide. Mindful Schools was featured in TIME magazine's 2014 cover story "The Mindful Revolution." He also previously served on the board of Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
